- CATTLE Regulations: 1.
Consideration must be given to suitability of the breed for PNG conditions. 2.
Baby beef steers must show no permanent incisors at the time of inspection. 3.
Judging: fat cattle - Saturday 8:30am - 10am, locally bred cattle - Saturday 1pm. 4.
All Champions in sections A & B are eligible to compete for the title of Supreme
Champion Animal of the Show. 5. All entries in the Fat cattle Sub Section must
be made available to the stewards prior to the show for aging and identification. 6.
Animals paraded in the grand Parade must be under adequate control. 7. For
led cattle, the age will be taken as at 1st October of the year concerned. 8.
Entry fee: K2.00 per entry 9. Prizes: Ribbons and a cash prize 1st K250, 2nd
K150, 3rd K100 awarded in each class. Winners of the Champion classes will not
be awarded points toward the most successful Exhibitor trophy. The Supreme Champion
Animal will receive a trophy. Sub

Section C - LED CATTLE Sponsored
by Trukai Agribusiness and the PNG CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION Special
prizes for led animals in the grand parade along with the BEST LED ANIMAL by a
smallholder in the Grand Parade. Section
2 - RABBITS
Due to lack of
entries each year there will no longer be any judging of Rabbits at the Morobe
show. Section 3
- SHEEP and GOATS There will be no
judging of Sheep and Goats at the 2010 Morobe Show.
However there will be
a display of Goats and Sheep by the National Agriculture Research Institute (NARI)
and the Department of Agriculture and Livestock (DAL). These displays will
be in the small livestock pavilion near the cattle area and next to the NARI overall
display. Section 4
- PIGS There will also be no judging of
Pigs at the 2010 Morobe Show. However there will be a display of Pigs by
Rumion Piggery and the National Agriculture Research Institute (NARI). These
displays will be in the small livestock pavilion near the cattle area and next
to the NARI overall display. Back
