COMMERCIAL EXHIBITORS RENTAL TERMS & CONDITIONS

RENTAL SPACE is as designated by the Morobe Province Agricultural Society (MPAS) and is at the fee determined by the MPAS which can vary from year to year. All stalls are rented on an "as is - where is" basis. Any improvements made to a stall by the stallholder that are a fixture become and remain the property of the MPAS once installed.

ELECTRICITY: Electricity connections, installation and maintenance of electrical fittings and cables are the responsibility of the stallholder. The stallholder indemnifies the MPAS against any claims for personal injury or death as well as damage to property and equipment through the use of any electrical distribution equipment within the Showgrounds. Provision of backup electricity is the responsibility of the stallholder.

VEHICLES: Commercial vehicles must enter through the Aircorps Road entry gate and leave through the Jawani St exit gate. One way traffic around the arena must be observed. Vehicle Stickers - One only vehicle sticker will be issued per stall. This sticker is to be attached to the inside passenger side of the front windscreen on the vehicle that will be supplying goods to your stall. No vehicle is to remain parked at your stall – THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Any vehicle remaining at the stall will be towed away and impounded. Each and every person inside a vehicle entering the showgrounds, including the driver of the vehicle, must have a valid ticket or pass allowing access into the showgrounds. Anyone without a ticket will be ejected from the vehicle and/or the vehicle will not be allowed to access the showgrounds.

PARKING: If required, Stall-holders may park in the members car park (located inside the grounds adjacent to the members entry gate at Bumbu Road), trucks will be required to park outside of the grounds.

SECURITY: Security on stalls is the responsibility of the stallholder. The Society will provide perimeter security and limited internal security only. Stall holders will be required to provide their own overnight security. Police will control the show patrons as well as law and order.

MPAS COMMITTEE: All directions from a MPAS councilor or committee member must be followed without argument. Any stallholder aggrieved by a direction from a councilor or committee member can object at the secretary’s office.

ACCESS HOURS: The grounds are open to stallholders from 6am – 8am and 5pm – 7pm daily over the show period for the purpose of restocking the stalls. Access during the day is limited.
